This component is included in all joint forces because administrative and logistic support for joint forces is provided through this component
Service Components
Joint Force Commanders (JFC’s) can establish this component commands to conduct operations when forces from two or more military departments must operate in the same dimension or medium or there is a need to accomplish a disinct aspect of the assigned mission.
Functional Components
Key conceptual considerations for the development of this organization are unity of effort and command, centralized planning, and decentralized execution.
