I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love which Christ Jesus our Kord shows us. We can’t be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation.
What was johns understanding of love
John’s understanding was that Christians are given the ability to love others because God extended love towards us first.
love as something expressed through _____, through giving of ______________
Action, one’s self to another.
What is the opposite of love?
Fear
What is patience?

Endurance: ability to withstand prolonged strain.
Part of the early Christians’ encouragement to one another was based on?
their understanding of the temporary nature of their struggles and suffering
Temporary nature is contrasted with?
This was contrasted with the eternal nature of the Kingdom of God, which was often portrayed as a reward or prize for enduring in their faith.
Christians encouraged each to be patient as they waited for Jesus to return in the fullness of power to establish his eternal kingdom.
patience is often linked with _____ and ________.
Mercy and forgivness
Patience is related to the theme of?
service
because Christians understand that they need to be patient with those they seek to serve.
In our current society how are patience and endurance treated?
Patience goes against the instant gratification we want. Fast food, short videos on YouTube which means we do not develop patience.
Endurance is bad, such as pain, then we create medications to deal with the pain eventhough it might be more than what it seems
Why is patience important in a relationship?
Patience is important in a relationship because it gives the other person space to be themselves, it does not insist on the person changing at that moment in order for the relationship to continue. The best thing you can give to someone else is your time. However, striving to be patient with someone does not mean being tolerant of harmful behaviour. As always, a balanced approach is needed.
