Orval Faubus
governor of Arkansas, called the national guard to keep a group of African American students from entering a high school
Montgomery Bus Boycott
rallies to boycott buses’ this hurt the bus companies, this ended when the supreme court ruled that segregating buses was unconstitutional
Clinton High School
African American parents in Clinton, TN sued the school board for their children’s rights to attend the school
