8.1 - Describe 3 distinct activities that can be used to create / maintain a project schedule?

Identify all project tasks required and estimate the resource time needed. This can be done using a WBS which is a hierarchical representation of the work that needs doing.
Using the task dependencies to determine the logical order of tasks and capturing in a network diagram. Understanding the logical order of tasks enables the PM to create a schedule of activity that can be maintained to deliver successfully.
A Gantt chart is useful and provides visualisation of the tasks as bars on a timeline to monitor and control the scheduled activities. The timeline will show task dependencies and milestones.
