How long does a personal license stay current for?
10 years, refresher training after 5
What is the minimum required training for challenge 25?
2 hours
Does a personal licence holder need to be on the premises at all times when alcohol is being sold?
No, but they must be on duty if the premise is open after 1am
Can an individual be designated premises manager of more than one licensed premises?
No
What are the exemptions for sale of alcohol from a licensed premises out with licensed hours?
- within 15 minutes of the end
- alcohol was sold during licensed hours and not in open container
- resides on premises (hotel bars)
- with a meal within 30 minutes of end
- trader for the purpose of trade
- armed forces
Maximum period for extension of licensed hours?
One month
If alcohol price is changed (licensed premises), how long til it can be altered again?
72 hours
Requirements for late opening (licensed premises)?
If premises has a capacity of 250+ and regularly provides between 0100-0500:-
- live or recorded music with a decibel level exceeding 85db
- has either facilities for dancing or adult entertainment
- when fully occupied are likely to have more customers standing than seated
Then, specific conditions are:-
- personal license holder present from 1am
- first aider present
- written policies for evacuation
- CCTV
- supervised toilets
- bouncers from 1am onwards
Which locations are exempt from licensing time constructions?
- airport
- wharf at a port or hover port
- Aircraft, hovercraft, train
- vessel on international journey (ferry/cruise)
- armed forces premises
Minimum and maximum timeframe for exclusion order from licensed premises?
No less than 3 months, and no more than 2 years.
How long does an emergency closure order for a licensed premises last and who can grant it?
Inspector+
Must not exceed 24 hours (inspector+ can extend original order for further 24 hours if disorder and risk continues)
Who can request for a review of a premises license?
