What is a barcode?
A 13 digit number which can be used to uniquely identify a product.
What data is encoded on a barcode?
Consists of 13 numbers: first 2 digits represent the country of origin; the next 5 represent the manufacturer’s code; the 5 after that represent the product code; and the last is a check digit.
