Inventions like the cotton gin increased the profits and efficiency of plantations, meaning the South needed slaves even more than before.
How did industrialization affect the Northern region?
It turned the North’s economy toward manufacturing.

The development of cities. This heavily boomed due to the increase of factory jobs.
Why did immigration increase during this time?

It increased manufacturing, making it cheaper, more profitable, and also easily replaceable.

It increases efficiency of foreign trade
How did industrialization impact Westward Expansion?
Efficient methods of creating steel (Bessemer Process) led to better and more widespread railroads. This helped in the creation of the Transcontinental railroad.
What did Samuel Morse do?
Created Morse code and the telephone which quickened communication.
