Christians should not use their free will to commit sin as this drives them away from God , they should use it in a way to help them live a life that pleases God

A

In Genesis God tells Adam to subdue the earth and that they have dominion over all creatures . This teaches humans that they have been given the power and responsiblity to rule over all creatures and that therefore look after and care for these creatures.

  • God also tells Adam to “till and keep “ the garden of eden showing how humans should be good stewards and look after their environment
  • The earth is also seen as a gift from God by christians and in return they have to look after it .

The old testament describes Gods relationship with the jews in early history it can be split into four sections:
History- These are books of how God often guided the Jews but they refused to listen. The books are written to stop future generations making the same mistakes
Law - These are the first five books taht describe how the Jews became the people of God
Wisdom-These are books written as advice and include psalms and gospels . They help christians to understand their faith better.
Phrophecies-These are the inspired words of the prophets . They challenged people to remain faithful to God and explained how people could live in a way that pleases God
