chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (used to describe airflow limitations)

- blockage caused by blood clots in the lungs
- can be life threatening, but treatable with medications if detected early

sudden infant death syndrome (unknown reason)

tuberculosis- infectious disease that attacks the lungs
