What are treaties ?

What challenges are First Nations in Canada suffering today?
- 86% live in Nunavut with a smaller population which give s a lower dependency load
- less jobs and not a lot of education
- lack of basic needs like agriculture
What’s are pull factors ? Give examples
A factor that draws someone into the country
- examples : better jobs & education, lower taxes, closer to family and desirable climate
What are push factors? Give examples.
Factors drawing you out of the country
Examples: terriosm/war, natural disasters, & bad education and jobs
What are interverting obstacles? Give examples
Factors that get in the way of migration.
Examples: distance between Canada & homeland, cost of immigration, meeting requirements of Canadian government.
What’s an economic immigrant?
Category of Canadian citizen done by establishing a business, buying a business or making investments
What’s a family immigrant?
Immigrants that move to Canada to be with family. They must be sponsored by a family member
What’s a refugee?
Someone who fears cruel or inhuman do treatment such as persecution for reason like race, religion & political opinion.
