A
  • Calling; inner feeling of what you have to do/how to live; Christians believe they have a calling from God to live a Christian life&follow Jesus so when they die they enter heaven
  • Can be entering priesthood or living in a religious community; argued most important as dedicating life to God
  • Since Vatican II, it means how a person shows faith in their life too; can be marriage, single or family life or in daily life&work; show this through love, fairness&honesty
  • Christians may refer to vocation as call for discipleship: all Christians called for a special purpose as apostles were
  • Means Christians must do what God wants as Jesus did; show vocation through their lives; call to witness means showing God’s love to others, their faith&power of HS
