What is the brown wire in a plug?
A
- The live wire.

Why does electric shock happen?
A
Because you are completing the circuit from the object to the ground so current flows through you.

It protects the circuit from overheating by melting if there is too much current.

A
It protects the circuit from overheating by shutting off the supply of current if it gets too high.

It protects the user from electric shock by shutting off current if it’s different in the live wire and neutral wire.
