- The USA, wanted to make a statement - not agreeing with the Belligerent powers.
- 1941, beginning of everything.
- The USA was not apart of the war. Not in the fighting, but in the selling of products yes.

- The US, was working on technological advancements¨
- Japan was a problem for German and Italy. China. Japan was invading them.

- Not an agreement, more a compromise.
- Signed by 26 countries. And 23 more countries later .
- The document bound the countries, compromising them to achieve a joint peace agreement.
- Main objectives: defeat the axis
France was not one of the first countries to sign, they came with the other 22 countries

- Hitler and Stalin supported each other, exchanged letters of support
- The soviets had the most casualties in the world.
- 1943
Defined that they were willing to work together. Nothing concreate.

- Agreed on the need of a security organization after the war.
- Starvation, poverty, casualties etc.
- How to rebuild the countries. Costly.
- Not a good idea to put all fault in one country (Germany)

○ No veto. - Armed forces in the service of peace
○ Acts of repression, less likely to get into conflicts.
○ Obligations that military have. You cant deny the UN to give your military capacity, but not all. - Differed form the Leauge of nations
Armed forces were the main difference.
