Ultimate being (creator and sustainer of the world)
What does environment mean?
The natural world all about us
What are Christian views on animal rights?
- Quakers believe animals have rights, treat with love and consideration, most are vegetarian
- catholics believe animals don’t have rights, can be used for food and clothing, should be treated with respect
- animals are gods creation so respect
- dominion over animals
What are Hindus views on animal rights?
Karma, ahimsa, atman, cows are sacred
soul in in all living creatures
vegetarians
all animals are worthy of respect
Who is chico mendes?
He was a Christian who lived in the rainforest, he was a rubber tapper and lots of people were deforesting it for cattle ranching. he came up with ways to try and protect the environment
What is arocha?
Its a Christian organisation that shows gods love through conservation, discourages dumping waste
What is Vrindavan?
Hindu organisation that stops deforestation and plants lots of trees.
What do hindus say about the environment?
destruction happens when brain overrules the heart
What are Christian believes about creation?
Humans are given dominion over animals and stewardship
