What does human dignity mean?
All humans are unique and have basic emotional needs
What is Injustice?
Where human rights are ignored
What is equality?
Being treated in the same way and not being discriminated against
What does Discrimination mean?
Failure to treat people and human beings because of other factors
What does prejudice mean?
Unreasonable hatred and dislike for someone for no good reason
What does Authority mean?
Power over others through position or moral teachings
What is Racism?
Discriminating against people because of their race.
What is identity?
The way a person views themselves
What are human rights?
Something people are morally or legally allowed to have or do.
What does humanity mean?
Caring for other human beings
What is food for life?
A Hindu charity to distribute free vegetarian meals to all
wealth is temporary so give to others
‘the gods have not ordained hunger to be our dream’
What is Christian aid?
Christian charity to stop poverty. Goes and does active work and training whilst preaching.

What are Christian views on wealth?
- Wise and Rich man parable
- ‘love thy neighbour’ Give/donate to others
- Material and physical possessions don’t go with us when we die
- avoid greed and selfishness
- start campaigns and charities
What are hindu views on wealth?
- Wealth is owned by god (doesn’t go with you when you die)
- The more attachment you have the more you suffer
- Help others and share
Christian views on women?
- eve was made from adams rib
- shouldn’t be vicars
- jesus only had male disciples
- all equal
- jesus didn’t discriminate
- women are allowed high up in church
Hindu views on women?
- mainly women who perform puja which is ceremonial in the home
- women are supported by their husbands and sons so they don’t need possessions of their own
- each individual has own role and part to play in life
Christian views on racism?
- made in god’s image
- love thy neighbour
- good Samaritan
- mother Theresa, mlk, jesus
Hindu views on racism?
- Gandhi fought against it for most of his life
Christian thoughts on equality?
Jesus went and helped people with leprosy because he knew we were all equal god created man and women equal god did miracles on mixture of people love thy neighbour good samarition
Hindu views on equality?
Gandhi burned cards which made him different from the british.
Gandhi disagreed with the caste system
Gandhi got attacked which ignored human dignity
