What was the job of the archbishops?
They controlled large regions and carried out the popes instructions
What was the job of the bishops?
They often sat on the house of Lords and advised the king
What was the job of the Parish priests?
They were in charge of the parish churches, they also decided who went to heaven and hell
How did William the Conqueror change churches in England?
He made the churches larger and built them with stone. He replaced English bishops with French bishops.
Why did most people follow the teachings of the medieval church?
They wanted a spot in Heaven
