Peasants who were free to move around and work for themselves

A peasant who worked on the lords lands as well as their own and had to have the lords permission to move

What happened when the Black Death arrived in England?
The Black Death arrived in Dorset, England in 1348. By 1350, it had spread across all of England.
What were the short term consequences?
Fear, normal activities being abandoned and many different attempts to stay alive
What were the long term consequences?
A huge decrease in population led to higher wages, more opportunities for women and immigrants, a strengthening of faith and criticism of the church

Where peasants and others protest against the government ans serfdom
