Macromolecule
a very large molecule made up of many smaller, repeating building blocks (monomers), like a long chain of LEGO bricks.
Organic
carbon-containing compounds that are the basis for all living organisms.
Monomer
Monomers are small molecules that can be joined to form more complex molecules
Polymer
a long chain made of many small, repeating building blocks called monomers, like a necklace made of beads.
Carbohydrates

Lipids

Protein

a compound consisting of a nucleoside linked to a phosphate group. Nucleotides form the basic structural unit of nucleic acids such as DNA.

Hormones are chemical substances that act like messenger molecules in the body.
Steroids
Steroids are a type of organic compound that includes hormones and vitamins, characterized by a specific molecular structure of four carbon rings.
