A

Napoleon’s attempt during the Napoleonic Wars to damage the British economy by blockading Britain (so that neutral countries and allies couldn’t provide resources). Britain responded with the Orders in Council that subjected France and its allies to a counter-blockade.

A

After the defeat of Napoleon, Britain concentrated its efforts in invading American-occupied Louisiana (in the War of 1812). The military campaign led by Andrew Jackson stopped British efforts and was considered a large US victory.
