Order
- Organelle,
- cell,
- tissue,
- organ,
- organ system,
- organism
What is an organelle?
It is a subunit of a cell and each one has a specific function.
Example: nucleus, cell membrane, mitochondria.
What is a cell?
It is a building block of file. Each cell is made of organelles. Specialised cells are adapted to their function and the organelles can vary.
Examples: red blood cell, egg cell, root hair cell
What is a tissue?
It is a group ol similar cells that work together to perform a specific function.
Example: blood, muscles, epithelial tissue.
What is an organ?
It’s a group al similar tissues working together to perlom a specific function.
Example: veins, heart, lungs.
What is an organ system?
It’s a group al similar organs working together to perform a specific function.
Example: circulatory, muscular, respiratory.
What is an organism?
It’s a group of organ systems working together to carry out the lite processes.
Examples: humans, plants and animals.
