1885, passed to restrict and regulate Chinese immigrants into Canada. Originally was $50 charged to Chinese wanting to enter Canada
By what year had the Laurier Government raise the head tax to $100 and than later $500?
1900, and 1904
What was Kamagata Maru?
After a 2 month voyage 316 Indians come into Vancouver harbor on the Kamagata Maru. They are refused to disembark and get stuff for 2 more months. Eventually sent back to India
How many people entered Canada off the Kamagata Maru?
20 returning residents and ships doctor were allowed. No passengers were allowed.

Gauvrillo Princip killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28th, 1914.
How did the assassination lead to the start of WW1?
Austria-Hungary replied to the assassination with an ultimatum, however Serbia rejected as the terms were extreme
