Gap junctions that are visible in cardiac muscle tissue; specialized junctions that connect the individual cells
How does a relaxed smooth muscle look?
The nuclei are elongated with round ends
How does contracted smooth muscle look?
The nuclei spiral, kink, or twist
How can we tell that skeletal muscle tissue is highly vascular?
The presents of capillaries
