interpret the bible by what the actual words mean
Contextualist
opposite of literalist, interpret the bible by historical and social context, recognize modern translations

doesnt completly break relationship with God

completly breaks relationship with God

direct sin against someone(ex: bullying, cheating, stealing)
Sin of Omission
failing to do right, things you know you should do but you just don’t (ex: not helping)
Sin of Commision
doing wrongs thing you know you shouldn’t do but do anyway (ex: theft, murder)

personal sin that has a negative effect on many people, gives rise to social situations and institutions that are contrary to divine goodness. also leads victims to do evil in their turn.

A worldview that considers human beings as the most significant entity in the universe
Theocentrism
A worldview that considers God to be the
most significant entity in the universe.
