Viewfinder
Eyepiece on camera that allows you to see what is being photographed
Focusing Screen
Flat material either a ground glass or Fresnal lens that allows user of the camera to preview the framed image in a viewfinder
Shutter-speed Control
Speed that the shutter of the camera closes. faster creates shorter exposure, slower gives longer
Shutter Release
Shutter of the camera releases so that it opens to capture a picture then closes
Hot Shoe
Electronic variant of connector that you generally find on top of your camera
Shutter
device which the lens aperture of a camera is opened to admit light and thus expose the film
Aperture Ring
collar on the camera that can be rotated to increase or decrease the aperture. lets more or less light in
Depth of Field Scale
Located around the distance setting index below the focusing ring
Focusing Ring
allows you to manually focus camera. it is around the lens and moves the focusing lens group inside the lens to change focus
Lens Release and Mount
button to unlock the lens mount and detach the lens. mount is to ensure lens is securely attached
Lens Alignment Node
To ensure that the film and sensor are parallel to each other
Tripod Socket
socket used to place camera on tripod
Byte
a unit of memory size on a camera, 8 binary digits
Megabyte
a unit of memory size on a camera, about 1M bytes
Gigabyte
A unit of memory size, about 1B bytes
