A small piece of burning wood or coal from a dying fire.
ember
Black chunks made from burned wood that are used as fuel.
charcoal
A carriage with two wheels that was pulled by horses or other animals.
chariot
A member of ancient Rome’s highest social class; a wealthy landowner in ancient Rome.
patrician
A member of the senate, the patrician lawmaking group in ancient Rome.
senator
A person who belongs to a country and has protections under that country’s laws.
citizen
A common person without power in ancient Rome.
