What is a problem statement?
Often phrased as a question. This is what a scientist is trying to discover or accomplish by conducting a particular experiment.
What is the hypothesis?
An if/then prediction that a scientist makes to describe what they think will happen during an experiment
What is a procedure?
The specific steps that a scientist follows to perform an experiment
What are the results/data?
The evidence from an experiment that a scientist analyzes to draw a conclusion
What is the conclusion?
A summary of the overall results of an experiment which addresses wether or not the hypothesis was correct
What is an independent variable?
Variable that I, the scientist, Change, the cause
What is a dependent variable?
Variable that depends on what I changed, the effect or result of the experiment
What is the constant?
Variables that you keep the same in all experiments
