What is a variable?
Is any factor that can affect the out come of an experiment. A variable can be kept constant or change
What is a controlled experiment?
Is an experiment where only one variable is change so we can be sure it’s the only thing causing the effect
What is a independent variable?
Is the factor that is changed and causes the effect
What is a dependant variable?
Is the factor that gets affected by the independent variable
What does accuracy refer to?
Accuracy refers to how close a measure is to its true value
What does precision refer to?
Precision refers to how close a set of measurements are to each other
What is theory?
A hypothesis that has been supported with repeated test and is valid as long as there no evidence to disprove it
What is law?
Is a statement that describes the behaviour of some particular thing found in that natural world
What is a model?
A physical, mathematical or logical explanation of things
What is science?
The study of the natural world
What is technology?
The application of scientific discovery
