12,000-8,000 B.C.E. After the end of the last great ice age.
Neolithic Age (New Stone Age)
They had agriculture, cities, and other foreshadowing of Civilization.
Neolithic Revolution
Development of Agriculture: deliberate planting for late harvest, felled population increase. Everyone staying in one place and communication led to a rise in social and cultural patterns.
The Impact of the Development of speech in humans
People were able to easily communicate with others. They advanced technological knowledge.

Egypt, China, Mesopotamia, and Indus Valley.
Drawbacks for Humans
Violence, dependencies of babies, back pain, and awareness of death.
Advantages for Humans
Opposable thumbs, sexual drive, omnivorous, expressions, brains, speech.

Form of writing in symbols, made by the Mesopotamians.

Laws and punish,ents created by Hammurabi.
Pyramids
Located in Egypt, they were built as tombs for powerful pharaohs.
Ziggurats
2200-500 B.C.E. Built with a core of mud brick, and an exterior covered with baked brick.
Shang Dynasty
Longest ruling dynasty of China. Recoded. 1600-1046 B.C. Known for advanced in math, astronomy, artwork, and military technology.
