Social Inquiry steps/Scientific Method

  • Ask Question: Central research question
  • Focus: take notes about what’s known & research what’s previously learnt. Identify sources.
  • Formulate a hypothesis.
  • Collect data: through surveys, experiments, etc
  • Assemble & analyze data: organize in chart, graphs, etc
  • Stop & check: enough info to support hypothesis or back to step 4
  • Present results: draw conclusions, share findings in presentation.
  • Reflect & evaluate research & results.
