-Peacekeeping troops e.g. in Sudan aim to encourage order and stability , but
can go against inequality such as in Kosovo where there were 70 murders
- North Korea still go against and do showing a lack of influence
-recent failure is in Ukraine where they have not imposed action on Russia

Functions of WTO
-Handles trade disputes
-Facilities co-operation potentially with other orgs such as UN and IMF
Positives
-more economies of scale and competition leads to greater innovation
-increasing number of trade disputes being brought to WTO showing they have authority
Negatives
-Trade rules being unfavourable to developing nations
-WTO is being overshadowed by new TIPP trade deals. These deals are negotiated away from WTO and focuses mainly on US and EU. It excludes China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa. It threatens to diminish the global importance of WTO
