Why does Shay think it would be boring to be a pretty?
Because you can’t be yourself and do what you want

Heavy bracelets that contain magnets that keep you attached to the earth, and from being hurt

A person who lives “far away,” but comes to the Rust Rapids every so often
Why does Tally think David isn’t real?
Shay doesn’t give a lot of information about him, and he never appears

Fake fighting in the library, with Shay falling three flights over the railing, only to be caught by her bungee jacket before crashing into the ground
Why does Shay think Tally has been “programmed” to think she is ugly?
Because Tally only wants to be pretty, do as she has been told, even if she can’t live her life the way she wants.
