what is the significance of the UDHR in civil rights movements?
it gives people a reason to fight for rights, as countries part of the United Nations (many being leading powers such as the United States and China) have agreed upon a list of rights every human should be able to have
what are some examples of human rights?
the right to seek asylum, the right to own a property, the right to raise a family, the right to marriage, the right to work and to join trade unions
what is the UN?
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945.
The purpose is maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights.
