What is a Nominated subcontractor?
A nominated sub-contractor is one that is selected by the client to carry out an element of the works. Nominated sub-contractors are imposed on the main contractor after the main contractor has been appointed.
JCT suite does not make provision for the nomination of subcontractors.
What is a named subcontractor?
A Subcontractor who has been nominated or recommended by the Client/Employer/Owner for performing some selected Scope of Work/Services under the supervision, control and responsibility of the main Contractor.
What is a domestic sub-contractor?
A subcontractor who contracts with the main contractor to supply or fix any materials or goods or execute work forming part of the main contract.
