Ensuring that all children complete a full corse of primary and secondary schooling and that everyone can develop the skills they need to gain meaningful employment.
Education:
- Increases literacy skills, including health literacy.
- Increases employment opportunities.
What is food?
Access to nutritious food allows for:
- Improved immune systems.
- Adequate energy levels.
- Improved intellectual development.
What is income?
Being able to access adequate financial resources to have a decent standard of living.
Higher income allows for:
- Increases access to healthcare, nutritious foods.
What is a stable ecosystem?
Occurs when balance is achieved between the environment and the species that live in an environment.
A stable ecosystem:
- Means there are resources available for human use.
- Promotes regeneration of resources.
What are sustainable resources?
Relate to ensuring that the resources used to promote health and wellbeing in the present are available for future generations, so they too can experience a good quality of life.
Sustainable resources provide:
- Ongoing access to materials and resources for heating and shelter.
What is social justice?
Equal rights for all, regardless of personal traits such as sex, class and income, ethnicity, religion, age or sexual orientation.
Social justice reflects:
- Equal access to essential services such as housing, healthcare and education.
What is equity?
Equity is a concept that relates to the fairness and social justice, but has a particular focus on disadvantages people.
Equity allows for:
- Fair access to resources, including healthcare, food and shelter.
