Describe how poverty is a cause of crime
-in areas of high deprivation, there tends to be a high rate of crime

-Scottish crime and justice survey found Fergulsie park in Glasgow is ranked 3rd of the list of deprived areas and experienced 136% higher rate of violent crime than the average of Scotland

-if someone doesn’t have the skills/qualifications to get a job, it may lead to turning to living illegally
