Is a lowland region that lies between the alps to the south and scandinavian uplands to the north it stretches from north france and south-west Belgium as far as Bulgaria and the black sea
How was nep formed/uplifted
The region was beneath a shallow sea, causing sedimentary rocks to form on sea floor when the African plate collided with the Eurasain plate 30million years ago, the NEP was uplifted above sea level
what gives nep the flat or undulating Landscape
As the region uplifted , its layers of sedimentary rock were slightly warped , but not folded or faulted like the alphine region to the south was.
