Common elements to all three types of rainfall

A
  • Warm air rises into the atmosphere and then cools
  • When the cold air has formed clouds and the water vapour has condensed, the water falls back to the ground.
    ALL Of THESE PROCESSES PRODUCE PRECIPITATION

CONVECTIONAL

Convectional: The HEAT of the sun moves the water vapour upwards
Relief: The high ground (relief) moves the water vapour
Frontal: Cold air ( in the front) moves the water vapour
