Q

What is relief rainfall?

A

Solar radiation, evaporates water but then the prevailing wind forces the water to one direction until it reaches high ground where it is obstructed and pushed up by the high ground and gains altitude and cools, it then condenses into water droplets and from clouds, eventually releasing precipitation on the windward side of the mountain as that is where the obstruction ends.

Q

What is frontal rainfall?

A

Frontal rainfall is when warm air and cold air meet AT A FRONT the warm air and its water vapour rises above the cold air and cools, condensing into water droplets and then those collecting into clouds, releasing precipitation.
