Uses therapeutic methods to help people through issues with personal wellbeing, interpersonal relationships, work, recreation and health.
What does a clinical psychologist do?
They assess, diagnose and treat psychological problems and mental disorders.
What do forensic psychologists do?
They are involved with legal and justice systems, by finding out motives of criminals, counselling victims and eyewitnesses, researching jury behaviour etc.
What do forensic psychologists do?
They investigate psychological and mental factors that can affect performance in sport. They do this through mental skills training, anxiety management, helping athletes recover from injury etc
What do health psychologists do?
They study the links between psychological and social factors, and health to manage and prevent illnesses.

They help organisations make strategies to recruit, develop, change and inspire it.
What does an educational psychologist do?
They deal with the development and learning of students and young people.
What does a community psychologist do?
They help communities through challenges to their overall wellbeing.
What does a neuropsychologist do?
They research the links between the brain and behaviour and explore the changes in behaviour caused by brain dysfunction.
What do academic and research psychologists do?
Academic - investigates teaching and lecturing methods, supervision of students and conducts research
