Q

Q

Types of Cues: Visual

A

Give the learner an opportunity to watch the desired skill or use visual aids as targets
Often provided as a demonstration. This is the most effective method of introducing a performer to a new skill and is critical in the cognitive stage of learning.

Q

types of cues: Proprioceptive

A

Proprioception is internal feedback which comes from sensory receptors – called “proprioceptors” ⎯ found in joints, tendons and muscles.
Proprioceptors send information to the central nervous system detailing position, posture, equilibrium, and internal conditions of the body.

& provde a example

A

Is information from within the body about how the movement felt and can be used by experienced performers to change their next performance

e.g. a golfer who can feel her wrists rolling open during the downswing resulting in a sliced shot will make changes to the next shot.
