Q

Do you have detailed product knowledge about the equipment you regularly use at work?

A

Yes be aware of local house policies and licence requirements.

Be aware of how using work equipment affects its minimum breaking load, factor of safety, working load limit and safe working load.

For example dogs can limit SWR to 80% of its SWL even when installed correctly.

Choking a gackflex could reduce its SWL by 20%

Q

What are some key aspects of supervision?

A

Maintenance, inspections and checks are valuable aspects of safe working systems. For instance ensuring defective equipment is removed and and marked as faulty.
