Q

TutorMe

School already has in person tutoring

A

Sounds like you have tutoring programs already in place which is great to hear as this makes such a positive impact on students.

But do you mind if I ask how you are supporting students who may not be able to stay after school or need support during nights or weekends?

The only reason why I ask is because we have been helping support tutoring initiatives across (state) as districts are finding it a challenge to ensure 1:1 supports are equitable. We helped them with 24/7 on demand tutoring that not only helped those in need of additional support, but challenged students who were looking to dive deeper and explore certain subjects.

Would it make sense to put 15-20 minutes on the calendar to learn more?

Q

TutorMe

Don’t want another tech tool for teachers to have to figure out

A

Totally understand where you are coming from as tech fatigue has certainly been something I’ve been hearing from districts.

We definitely do not want to add more to your teacher’s plates.

Our tutoring platform integrates seamlessly with your LMS and is intuitive for both students and teachers to use. Our goal is to save teachers time by taking care of after-school tutoring and first draft paper reviews to hopefully reduce stress and share the load of providing differentiated support.

Is this something that might resonate with your teachers?

Q

TutorMe

Not worth the cost of offering tutoring for all students when only a few may use it

A

Sounds like the return of investment for something like a tutoring service is top of mind for you. Completely understand as I often hear from districts that budgets are tight and they are looking to ensure that the use of purchased EdTech tools are being maximized across the district.

With our tutoring platform, we have found that not only struggling students make use of it, but also those who want an extra challenge or in-depth conversation with a subject matter expert. We also see teachers and substitutes using it during the school day, which generates full classroom usage.

How does this resonate with you?

Q

TutorMe

Concerned about student privacy and video tutoring

A

Completely understand your concerns.

We are aligned with FERPA, COPPA, and all state-level privacy laws. In addition we have a dedicated privacy team, rigorous standards for tutors, and give schools rights over personal student information.

In addition, all sessions are recorded and students are asked to rate each session at the end.

Would it make sense to put some time on the calendar to learn more about our privacy and data protection to see if we might be a good fit in the future?

Q

TutorMe

Students get comfortable with a tutor and do not want to have to keep changing

A

Completely understandable, as I remember as a student definitely preferring to work with specific teachers who seemed to teach the way I learned best.

In our platform, students have the ability to request tutors that they have enjoyed working with or find the most effective.

Would it make sense to put some time on the calendar to learn more?
