Edulastic Competitors Flashcards
Illuminate
I’m curious, one thing I hear people love about Illuminate is that it provides multi-tiered systems of support and can provide early warning signs for students at risk to not graduate.
Option 1 - Something I also hear from teachers is that creating assessments can be time consuming as the interface is not very user friendly.
Option 2 - Something I also hear from district leaders is that Illuminate has limited content options that do not always offer enough item banks and content aligned to their curriculum.

Performance Matters
I’m curious, one thing I hear people love about Performance Matters is that individual student data can be pulled in different ways to identify learning gaps.
Option 1 - Something I also hear is that it isn’t tailored for formative assessment and reporting can be difficult to access and interpret.
Option 2 - Something I also hear from teachers is that creating assessments is not user friendly and they often find themselves having to re-watch tutorials just to get one created.

MasteryConnect
I’m curious, one thing I hear people love about MasteryConnect is that their Certica Item bank offers over 120,000 items for teachers to draw upon.
Option 1 - Something I also hear from teachers is that the interface can be difficult to use, making the creation of assessments time consuming, which in the end results in less data on student growth.
Option 2 - Something I also hear from district leaders is that MasteryConnect can often lack support and implementation assistance making it challenging to increase teacher adoption rates.
What has your experience been?
Formative
I’m curious, one thing I hear people love about Formative is its flexibility and ease of use that enables teachers to use it as a formative and summative solution in classrooms.
Option 1 - Something I also hear is that items banks and content are not always vetted and aligned to specific standards making it challenging to identify gaps and track growth.
Option 2 - Something I also hear from district leaders is that reporting and data analytics can be a challenge, especially when trying to gain insights across grade levels, schools, and teachers.

Diagnostic / Benchmark Assessments (MAP, NWEA, iReady)
I’m curious, one thing I hear people love about {{diagnostic/benchmark assessment}} is the ability to assess students several times a year.
Something I also hear is that educators wished they were able to measure student growth and performance consistently over time and had a tool to assess formatively.
What has your experience been?
Edulastic works alongside solutions such as {{diagnostic/benchmark assessment}} to support educators in gaining real-time insights into student learning and growth through being able to create and implement low-stakes assessments in preparation for larger summative and/or diagnostic tests.
