How do tumours differ from normal cells?
A
- Nucleus is larger and darker than in normal cells
- They have an irregular shape ( nor uniform )
- They have different antigens on their cell surface
- They don’t respond to regulatory processes
- They divide by mitosis more frequently

What is metastasis?
A
A tumour which has spread to the bloodstream and lymphatic system and so can spread to other parts of the body, causing secondary tumours there.
These are the most difficult to treat.
