What is the impact of adding indole into the formulation
- a floral, faecal note will be imparted to the formulation. This will enable the formulation to become more life-like.
- Discolouration of the fragrance.
- A more substantive fragrance formulation as indole will increase the shelf life of the fragrance.

- Alternative for naturals that are not available such as apples. Where esters such as hexyl acetate or ethyl butyrate can be used.

- For safety reasons such as when bergamot containing bergapten is removed for application to sunscreens.
- Replacement of ingredientsn facig depletion. Such as with sandalwood oil being replaced with bacdanol
