erector spinae
-patient is prone
-cross hand contact and hold into muscles and slide
-patient pulls head up for duration to resist against my hands
-when patient releases resistance, they push head down and when they breathe out, practitioner slides down more
-to increase flexion, can drop front of couch a few degrees
Quadratus lumborum
-patient supine in banana position (cross leg and sidebend with arms folded)
-get patient to push their legs from their abdomen
psoas (scissor)
-patient lays off end of couch (supine)
-practitioner stands to the sided with one foot on my ribs (to relax psoas)
-target knee flexes up, push it down/ hold the resistance down whilst they aim to push knee up to ceiling
-when they relax, push down to floor and bend leg on ribs more
psoas (prone)
-lift knee up whilst fixing off on their pelvis
-can flatten lumbar with pillow under hips
-lift leg up while patient tries to drive down
whole spine
-patient sat up with arms crossed
-practitioner stood behind them
-rotate spine, meet resistance for 7-10 secs
-patient relaxes and take to new barrier
ribs
-sidelying
-patient hug themselves
-practitioner holds under and ontop of crossed arms
-rotate them
-patient derotates
-new barrier= adding rotation
