What did France want out of the Treaty?
Clemenceau wanted security, compensation, revenge, and to cripple Germany.
What did the US want out of the Treaty?
National self-determination to build a more peaceful Europe, outlined in Wilson’s 14 Points (e.g. Point 10: Autonomy for peoples of Austria-Hungary).
What did Britain want out of the Treaty?
Lloyd George wanted to impose reparations but not cripple Germany to avoid making France too powerful.
