2. Rhineland turned into DMZ - no German soldiers but Allies remained.
3. 1922 Rapallo and Treaty of Berlin allowed leeway - test in Russia.

AJP TAYLOR - terms had to balance out Germany’s strength.

2. League of Nations took control of Germany’s overseas colonies
3. Polish corridor created - Poland acces to sea but Germany split.
4. Romania also had to give back land - not alone.

2. Agreed to pay rep without figure - later £6.6million
3. Amount was never paid in full + received loans from other countries.

CONAN FISCHER - rep slowly starved Germany.
MANTAUX - manageable fees; financial issues were self made.

2. Not invited to negotiations - big 3 dominated.
3. No info until final outcome then 21 days to agree.
4. June 1919, National Assembly voted 237:138.
