What is the diagnostic for malaria?
A
Fever upon return from the tropics.

When should malaria be referred?
A
Immediately, for antimalarials. Treat malaria as malaria until proven otherwise.

A
Nausea and vomiting during travel.

What is the treatment for travel sickness?
A
Anti-histamines. Stugeron, Joy-Rides, Sea-Band if a woman is pregnant

What non-pharmacological advice should be given for travel sickness?
A
Both can cause drowsiness so advise to not drive. Always take before travel. Face forwards when travelling. Avoid alcohol/over-eating. Suck a sweet (counteracts drug ADR). Do not read or play games. Open a window.

What is the diagnostic for potential carcinoma?
A
Mole going wrong: Asymmetrical. Bordered. Colour (the darker, the worse it is). Diameter. Elevation and Elongation.

When should potential carcinoma be referred?
A
Immediately for GP assessment.
