Q
Effects of Intraocular haemorrhage
A
- Hyphaema (acute glaucoma, chronic glaucoma, corneal staining)
- Haemosiderosis bulbi
- Ghost cell glaucoma
- Vitreous haemorrhage (Synchisis scintillans, TRD)
- Expulsive suprachoroidal haemorrhage
2
Q
Causes of hyphaema
A
- Trauma (blunt, penetrating)
- Spontaneous
- v/s abnormal
- tumors
- clotting disorders (sickle, anticoagulant, blood dyscrasia)
3
Q
Hyphaema classifications
A
- Microscopic
- G I (<1/3 AC volume)
- G II (1/3-1/2)
- G III(>1/2)
- G IV (total)
4
Q
Indication for surgery in hyphaema
A
Ocular factor 1. 90% AC volume * 9 days 2. IOP (>50mmHg* 5 days, >35mmHg*7 days) (>25mmHg*6 days) 3. Corneal blood staining
Patient factors
- Risk of G damage (elderly, glaucoma, v/s d/s
- Sickle cell A
- Risk of staining & amblyopia (child)
5
Q
Angle recession
A
Rupture of anterior surface of CB extending between longitudinal & oblique/circular fibres
6
Q
Cyclodialysis
A
Disinsertion of longitudinal fibres of CB from sclera spur
7
Q
Iridodialysis
A
Rupture of iris diaphragm at the iris base from CB
